Why do I need a web portfolio?

While a web portfolio is not designed to replace your résumé, it will certainly accelerate your job search success and add value by:

What about my privacy?

If you’re worried about your existing employer finding your details on the Internet, then there are some strategies we can implement to decrease the possibility of your web portfolio being discovered. For instance, information such as contact details can be omitted on your web portfolio to protect privacy and reduce the possibility of being picked-up by search engines. In addition, we can password protect your web portfolio, so that you can email the password to interested parties. We will work with you to devise the best strategy to suit your privacy needs.

Where is my web portfolio hosted?

You web portfolio will be hosted with Keraijen, our parent company.

Is there an added fee for hosting?

Hosting fees are incorporated into the initial cost of your web portfolio design and differ with each package. It is outlined under each package how much hosting time is available. Further hosting is available at $5 per month.

Do I need to apply for a domain name?

No you don't. You'll have your own web address on our server. Your web address will be http://www.online-resume.com.au/yourname. 

Can I customise my web portfolio layout and design?

Yes. Your web portfolio can be customized to suit your needs. Pricing will vary dependant upon the level of customisation you would like to have, so please contact us for a quote.

Apart from the standard 4 pages, what else can I have incorporated into my web portfolio and is there an additional fee for this?

The 4 pages of your web portfolio comprise of the career profile, experience/achievements, qualifications and a contact page. This also includes one photo and a downloadable version of your résumé available in Word and PDF format.

Of course you have the option of having additional items such as graphs and charts, results, problem solving, additional photos, project samples, biography, awards or acknowledgements; however these do incur further fees. Further pages can be requested for AUD $40 per page and charts/graphs/photos incur an additional fees. To obtain a firm quote, please contact us for a quote.

Do I still need my printed résumé?

Absolutely! Your résumé is still a vital tool for your job search campaign. A web portfolio will never replace your printed résumé, but rather add value to your overall job search campaign by elevating your credibility and keeping you a step ahead of the competition.

Do I need to purchase a résumé from you first before I can have a web portfolio created?

Yes. You will need to one of our résumé packages, first as we will incorporate the information from your ‘newly created’ résumé into your web portfolio.
